PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Pearled barley is whole barley that has been processed by removing the tough outer hull and polishing or pearling off the bran layer. Typically, the whiter the pearled barley the more bran has been stripped from the kernel. With a chewy, delicate flavor, pearled barley is the most common and readily available type of barley found in today's supermarkets. Used primarily as an ingredient in soups and stews, pearled barley is a good source of protein, dietary fibers, selenium and manganese.
